When has an MMO ever stuck to a release date?

Never, but it is still frustrating.

War is growing old.  Star Trek did not impress me that much and now i have to wait a year for star wars.  :'(

Ugh, WoW, way too much time spent playing that game. I'm glad I quit.

I tried it for a second time when that first expansion came out, whatever-the-fuck-its-called, and lasted about a month before I quit and haven't had the interest since.

The only things that are interesting me at this time is Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. But they are probably another year away. I even burnt out on TF2 after a while, and I love mindless killing.

Anyone still excited about this game? I re-watched the trailers and am pretty pumped for it now that it's due in the spring.

They finally announced a release date of Dec. 20th. I think there is a good chance I'll pick it up to at least try it out for a few months.

I went ahead and pre-ordered SWTOR. Based on all I've seen, I'm pretty sure I'm guaranteed at least a few months of solid fun. Plus no game has better trailers.

I'm playing the beta weekend and here's my impression through level 11: It's pretty awesome. It's like you're playing a Star Wars movie. Gameplay-wise, I'd say it's very similar to WoW; as if Blizzard had made this instead of WoW (except obviously updated 7 years). Bioware's emphasis on storytelling really makes an impact on making the game high quality. I just finished my first "dungeon" with a group, and it was similar to playing through some of the Obi-Wan/Anakin scenes from Episodes 2 and 3. The combat definitely is WoW'ish, except no auto-attack, and I'm definitely impressed with the animations.

Overall, definitely not regretting the pre-order.
