Looks pretty good.  I love my quadcore but I wish I had a 45nm one... may upgrade next year though...

Check the price difference on the 2.4 and the 3.0 cpu.  Might save a few bucks, and 2.4 is plenty fast for awhile, still, if the stays high. :)

If you've ordered already, then put it in a public wish list and post it.  8)

Aww, you didn't get a raptor HD?  I didn't know you were changing HDs as well.  The WD HDDs are going for cheap, I think.  500g for around 100.00.

Who wants a Raptor when solid state drives are just around the corner!!!Although I guess it still may be awhile before they are affordable.

haha, solid state is nice, and are available - not around the corner... just really expensive for relatively low storage.

Holographic memory will be the next big thing.

I think I remember reading somewhere that this sort of technology was already available at the "industrial" level... but may be a while before it is cheap enough for the normal consumer.

Wiki has a good summary...

Interesting video here... not the price lower down in the article... yikes.. also cool how the disks are clear

So far the system is running great!  TF2 is different with all the graphics on high.   *duckride*
