Guild Wars 2

Just saw the preview on IGN. It looks pretty cool. I also appreciate that they don't have a monthly fee. http://www.guildwars2.com/en/

I played the original, no monthly fee is nice.  the first was instance after instance.  I would prefer a seamless large world, not always practical.  In the end, mmos just take so much time to play.. like having a job without being paid...

Instances suck, at least when everything is an instance. Remember how well DDO went over?

actually looking at the game now. instances are going to be diminished big time in this game. graphics look great, concept of not grinding looks great, no monthly fee, i am going to buy it.. why not.

After WoW, Im not interested in any instance that requires more than 5 people. I'm done with the 20-40 man instance grind..

Ah come on! Spending hours upon hours finding enough people to do something that takes more hours upon hours is fun!

from what I hear, and those playing wow can confirm, everything is cross server now, dungeons and scenarios so it is very easy to find a group.  I also think they did away from 20 and 40 man runs.

Given all that, I am still not interested in WOW though.

As am I no longer interested, last time I played, the only thing cross server was the PvP

Re: WOW
NOGAF but to clear up the infos.

Raids are 5, 10 and 25 man.
5 man raids (dailies) can be runonce per day.
10 and 25 man can be run on weekly lockout timers. (raid locks can be extended but have to be selected as such and only extends the lock for the extender)

10 and 25 man Raids are not cross-server, but 5 man heroics are. (as is pvp arena, and pvp battlegrounds)
battlegrounds pre-mades are common.

10 and 25 man raids take about 15-20 minutes to PUG,
That is presupposing you are not in a raiding guild in which case you just have everyone show up at the prearranged time via signup in the guild cal ingame)

I raid 5,10, and lead 25-man content as a Rogue named Boogin every Saturday night.
Fumi helps lead as a Hunter named Zorahh (when hes not ninja-ing my loot!).
Moose also plays often and raids on Saturdays as a Shaman healer named Phyrex.
Razor plays less and less as he prepares for deployment as a DPS Pally named Salannis.

We are on the server Akama, and I am Lead Assist in the guild Vulgar Display of Power (with moose, fumi, and salannis all as officers)

All of you limp dick fucks are welcome. if for some reason you convert to the blizzard religion, add me as a friend.

No thanks, Blizzard had almost 4 years of my life with WoW, sometmes raiding 5 -6 nights a week, and well as the countless hours I put in for PvP. I am definitely done.
